Antipasti

Do you prefer white wine or red wine with antipasti?

We have various white and red wines by the glass on our menu in our wine bar in Salzburg, which go perfectly with the antipasti platter. The house recommendation for white wine is a Grüner Veltliner from Loimer. For red wine, we recommend Blaufränkisch from Krutzler.

  • What do you do in a wine shop?
In a wine shop you can taste and buy a wide variety of wines. Wine shops often offer expert advice so that you can learn more about the different wines, their origins, how they are made and the best combinations with food.
  • What happens at a wine tasting?
During a wine tasting, the wine is tasted and evaluated systematically. Participants first smell the wine to detect the aromas. Then they take a small sip to experience the taste and texture in the mouth. The wine is often moved around in the mouth a little before it is swallowed or spit out to collect all the taste impressions. In addition to the actual tasting, there are often explanations about the wines, their origin, the grape varieties and the production process.
  • How long does a wine tasting last?
The duration of a wine tasting can vary, but is usually between one and two hours. The length depends on the number of wines tasted, the supporting program and the depth of information conveyed during the tasting.
